The tenant hasn't paid the refundable deposit I set in My Rentals. What should I do?

The article was updated on 24. 4. 2023.

In this article, you can find out your rights in case your tenant doesn't pay the refundable deposit, as long as it's correctly set in your profile.

If the classic (refundable) deposit isn't paid on the day the lease starts according to the signed agreement (usually the same day as the move-in), we recommend that you don’t accommodate the tenant and unilaterally terminate the lease immediately from the start date.

You have the right to unilaterally terminate the agreement for this reason without any penalty and can do so by writing to us at [email protected] and asking us to register the termination in our system by creating a termination document.

However, if you decide to accommodate the tenant despite the non-payment of the deposit and despite our recommendation, you have the right to terminate the lease agreement at any time for the gross violation.
