What should I do if the tenant doesn't have a valid lease on the move-in date?

The article was updated on 20. 6. 2024.

Not sure whether you should accommodate a tenant without the lease signing process being finalized? See how you should proceed to avoid any issues!

It's important to remember that you should accommodate only tenants with a valid lease agreement.

In case a tenant doesn't finalize the lease signing process (which includes Flatio receiving the full payment of the 1st rent) by the move-in date, we strongly recommend that you cancel the lease immediately so your property can be booked by another, more serious tenant.

Please note that if you accommodate a tenant without a valid lease, Flatio won't be able to help you if any issues appear during or after the tenant's stay.
