Very nice flat. Clean and in a great location. We really loved it. We spent there 3 months and I can hardly imagine a better place for us to stay.
The only problem was the old abandoned house nearby where somebody (I presume homeless people) kept locking up their dogs for the night. Dogs were barking all night long whole 3 months every day. We had to use earplugs to be able to sleep. But this is not a problem of the house owner but rather the municipality. I hope they solved it already.
Neighborhood
Very safe, beautiful, slow-going neighborhood. Just two streets above the busy tourist part. That was the advantage because it is close to everything yet slightly aside from tourists' busy streets. Perfect location.
Recommended places nearby
There is a great local restaurant with non-tourist prices and incredibly nice personnel just besides the house. Also, Carlos Rebolo gym in case you want to stay in shape.
And the rest - well, it is Madeira. No need to say there are great places to visit...

Great apartment for two people. Very clean and in a good location. The kitchen has all the basics for cooking. The landlord's depute is very responsive. It has enough storage space.
The only drawback is the shower. It is a very flimsy and extremely small. When you drop something in the shower you cannot pick it up in such a narrow space.
We recommend this place.

Great location if you don't have a car! 5 min walking distance to gym, beach and grocery store/restaurants/stores.
